SPRING FOR THESE ACCESSORIES
Anything but basic
Hello, hello our lovelies! We’ve always been big fans of accessories here at The Juice, since there’s no denying that they are pretty much the heart and soul of any outfit, no? With our gorgeous edit of the coolest finds, you can keep your outfit basic and let your accessories speak out loud & proud this spring/summer.
THE GOLD RUSH
Jewellery will always be every girls’ first-love – splurge on golden-hued jewels of every kind – from geometrical pendants to layered chains, hoops and danglers that will uplift even a simple white tee instantly. TIP: Pair ‘em with everything.
SMALL IS OUT, BIG IS IN
Oversized (but fugly) sunnies took over the runways and they’re now invading your OOTD, and posting a pic on the ‘gram without one in the day is pretty much frowned upon we hear. Take your pick from bifocal, mirrored and visor-shaped ones #TheGlassHasManyFaces
BE A ‘WEDGE’ IN A WORLD OF MEAT-EATERS
Wedges are back after a hiatus, and thank God! We thought our poor feet would never recover from all the hours of dancing in those pointy-heeled shoes. Wear ‘em in a multitude of colours and prints to go with your dresses, jeans, shorts and even your Indian ethnic clothes.
SAY HOLA TO THE ESPADRILLE!
Espadrilles have blown up massive this year, and we are seeing them on everything from flats to wedges, and we gotta say we love. Like the wedge, these babies will go with just anything, but we’d say they are more cazh than a night-out-on-the-town, so wear ‘em mostly for low-key scenes.
FASHUN, BUT MAKE IT NEON
Neon is huge (in 2019), neon is love, a little bit of neon in our everyday ensemble we got to have. Since most trends hitting the market of late are pretty out there, pretty loud, we’d say you mix and clash neon with another neon or any other shade. Or, if you’re more conservative, pair your neon piece with anything white and more toned down.
CAN YOU HANDLE IT?
Here comes the top handle, and we are glad ‘cos frankly our shoulders and waists were beginning to feel a little weighed down. Comfortable to hold, and super chic, the top handle is going to be around for a while and will go with mostly tailored stuff and more sophisticated pieces.
NEVER ‘BUCKLE’ IN
Except when it’s to go big or up. The big, oversized, clanky buckles are back from the early 2000s, and we are glad ‘cos ‘cinched at the waist’ was a fun thing really, and could amp up an outfit almost instantly and do wonders for well, our waists #BlastFromThePast
