Every last minute detail you need to know
With the much-awaited #royalwedding literally hours away, where every girl’s childhood crush Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle are soon to be blissfully wedded, we can’t wait to dish on all the last minute deets we just got our hands on. So sit tight and read up on what’s slated to be the wedding of the decade.
The biggest whodunnit of the moment that has us sittin’ in major anticipation is the question of the moment that has the #fashfrat abuzz with who the lucky designer is who has been commissioned to do the wedding dress. If the rumour mills are to be believed (and our sources are quite credible dahlins’), there is going to be not one, but two whole dresses – the first that Ms. Markle will be wearing to church is apparently a Ralph & Russo original, and the second one has apparently been designed by none other Erdem Moralioglu. We’ve placed our bets, and we can’t wait to see the dress-drama unfold.
THE WEDDING VENUE
The wedding venue is none other than the St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle. Given its size, we do know that it is going to be a relatively intimate ceremony as far as royal weddings go.
THE WEDDING PROCESSION
The wedding procession is going to be similar to that of that other royal couple we were all obsessing with back in 2011 – the Duchess of Cambridge & Prince William.
PRINCE CHARLES TO THE RESCUE
Given the recent health troubles Ms. Markle’s father, Thomas Markle Sr. has been having off late, he will miss out on the chance to give his daughter away. But fret now girlies, Prince charming, oh-sorry, we meant Charles, has come to the rescue.
THE QUEEN IS MIFFED AF
But HM The Queen is pissed and has been throwin’ major shade at Ms. markle & fam off late. And to be fair, we don’t blame you your highness.
THE SPICE GIRLS REUNITE
The stuff every 90s kids’ girl band dreams were made of – the Spice Girls have confirmed that they’ll be perfoming at the royal celebrations, and we are stoked as hell, but also sad cos we’ll be missing out.
LET THERE BE CAKE
200 Amalfi lemons, 500 organic eggs from Suffolk, 20 kilos of butter, 20 kilos flour & sugar each and 10 bottles of Sandringham Elderflower cordial will go into making the Lemon Elderflower wedding cake. The baker of the moment is none other than Claire Ptak of the famed Violet Bakery in London.
THE WEDDING BOUQUET & MORE
Florist Philippa Craddock will be doing the wedding flowers, and she’s confirmed the use of some very exotic peonies, garden roses and foxgloves.
