The significance of Pantone’s colour of 2019
As Pantone declared Living Coral its colour of the year for 2019, it stirred up a storm for more reasons than one. Environmentalists were up in arms against what they felt was absolute insensitivity considering 72% of the world’s ‘living corals’ were dying out due to coral bleaching the world over thanks to climate change.
Pantone jumped to its own defence and said that they hoped to see the year of Living Coral make people more woke to the dangers of the world’s reefs disappearing at an alarming rate, and hoped that it would inspire us to do our bit to help keep global warming at bay.
So, let’s go the way the rest of the world and fashion seems to be going, and become more conscious and sustainable in every way.WORK-WEAR
