JUST FOR KICKS
Sneakers that’ll never go out of style
We know we are all about the dad sneakers ATM but here’s something to get you thinking: they aren’t a new innovation but kicks that simply got a makeover. Right? So we are hoping you’ve stuck on to the pairs that have stood the test of time and we bet they ain’t going ‘newhere.
Here are 7 pairs of the coolest shoes that should never hit the bin:
Why they are timeless: They’re pretty much the only “running shoes” you can wear when you’re not running and still look good—ask the ‘90s, boys, they’ll tell you it’s true.
Why they are timeless: These are a great alternative to canvas sneakers if you still want to wear tennis shoes but dress them up a bit. They’re tennis shoes made out of suede, #fancy.
Why they are timeless: There’s a song about them. Seriously what another shoe has a song made especially for it? (Please refer to the Run DMC song “My Adidas” if you’re drawing a blank right now). And then they collaborated with Pharell Willams. Like seriously? And threw a rainbow of colours on us. We were, are, will be forever sold.
Why they are timeless: This is the only shoe that hasn’t really changed its style or added lots of flashy colours to its design. It’s still the simple beige boot we used to see in Biggie music videos in the ’90s and now go grocery shopping in.
Why they are Timeless: We don’t know but they look geeky and that’s a vibe that never died… Ben Affleck and Heidi Klum still wear them. Meaning this is the shoe that has been keeping the company afloat since who only knows when.
Why they are Timeless: Originally a skateboarding shoe, this is a California classic. And anything that’s #CaliCool is world cool.
Why they are Timeless: People have been wearing these shoes since the beginning of America, maybe. And they go with absolutely everything– Kristen Stewart wears them like all the time, like even on the red carpet.
