Feelin’ Bromantic – A sup-nod to our fav bros

4 months ago | BY Ruhi Baweja

Sometimes you just gotta take a minute and appreciate the love.

James Franco & Seth Rogen

I know when you hear the names that complete this duo, you immediately think of ’The (controversial) Interview’ and much celebrated parody of “Bound” but really their heavily (in the best way possible) co-dependent bromance started in ’99 when they were both cast for the sickest high school-themed TV show “Freaks and Geeks”. Their friendship runs so deep that Franco often writes poems about it, I mean they couldn’t be cuter if they tried.

Lil Wayne & Drake

We didn’t know what was coming for us the day Lil Wayne and Drake met on November 18th (inspiring the namesake track from So Far Gone). When they met, they birthed the greatest bromance in the rap world (yes they surpass Jay Z and West). Drake became Weezy’s protègè soon enough and felt “blessed to have the greatest mentors and teachers in the world” so much so that Drizzy recently got inked. Any guesses on what it is? WEEZY’S HEAD. FULL ON GRAPHICALLY DETAILED HEAD AND SHOULDERS. I mean, he’s not our mentor but we totally be down to get a Weezy tattoo, along with all of his face tattoos.

Chace Crawford & Ed Westwick

I don’t know if it’s just us, but Chace and Ed’s on-screen bromance felt totes authentic lending to the fact that they’re also best friends IRL. They shared an apartment through the filming of the cult classic. These bros were so close they’ve been slammed with gay rumours multiple times, that have been denied (thank god). But these two in one frame is too much eye candy to handle. Its criminal xoxo

Chris Pine & Zachary Quinto

(Forgive me if I sound biased towards these two but) THIS IS THE BEST BROMANCE IN THE HISTORY OF BROMANCES. They have inside jokes, they have vocab battles, they’re always complimenting each other, they’re always making fun of each other, among other things. Stuff we would probably do with our best friends. Basically, they’re just the goofiest and most relatable bros in Hollywood.

Brad Pitt & George Clooney

The fathers of bromance, so do we say. They’re not in your face about their bromance. It’s laid back and up to the brim with mutual appreciation. From their Oceans Eleven (and Twelve and Thirteen) days, their bond has only become deeper and harder to mess with. They’re the kind of friends who can meet after a year and still react to each other the same way. It’s the forever kinda bromance.

Leonardo DiCaprio & Tobey MaguireLet’s not take Leo’s past romantic relationships as a test to how well he can maintain a bond. Him and Toby have been best friends for nearly 25 years and are the definition of #BroGoals. They were co-members of The Pussy Posse circa 1998 and charmed their way through LA and New York taking in every second of their youth and male privilege (in the best way possible, of course). Tobey trims their relationship down to “We like to talk about and play basketball”

Jimmy Fallon & Justin Timberlake“We’re good luck to each other”, need I say more? Since the early 2000s these two have proved their bromance is one for the books. From a classic (awkward) cute-meet, to featuring on SNL together to Justin writing Fallon’s essay for Time Magazine’s “Top 100 Most Influential People” their bromance has been cemented in all our hearts.

Zach Braff & Donald FaisonThey met for the first time 15 years ago on the sets of Scrubs and since then they’ve become the kinda bros who exchange matching necklaces. The kind of bros who have each other on their phone cases. The kind of bros who vacay together. The kinda bros who playfully back-and-forth on twitter. The kind of bros who became bros naturally. Now that’s the kinda bromance you want.
