EDITOR’S PICKS : TRAVEL

2 months ago | BY Huma Hazarika Sharma

Travel for your soul..

June was an insanely busy month for most of us here at The Juice, what with us trying to balance our workloads with planning our annual summer vacays. And, now that July’s finally here and our fantasy holiday’s inching ever closer, we are totally stoked and can’t think of anything better than to dish on everything travel this month.

THE DIY VACAY:
Right from planning the nitty gritties of a trip to backpacking your way solo halfway across the world, the DIY vacay is where it’s at. And while it ain’t no glamping, or a luxury cruise, it gives the 2018 go-getting versions of us a sense of purpose, ya know? ‘cos how else are you going to do you and recharge your soul if you’re going to be doing it at someone else’s pace, right?
THE EXOTIC LOCALE:
We picked you 5 different places ‘cos in today’s jet-setting age, just doing one place is so passé, no? So, take your pick between Chile, South Korea, Djibouti, Egypt and Georgia.

LUGG-ING IT ‘ROUND:
They say your luggage speaks volumes about you, and while you don’t want to be too flashy (‘cos c’mon that’s like literally screaming out to baggage-nappers that your bag is filled with fancy stuff and is up for grabs), you still want something classy. We give you a slick roller ladies, while it’s a convenient backpack for you, boys.

THE TRAVEL PACK:
FOR HER: A swimsuit+sunnies+a printed summer dress+a trusty pair of shoes+good sunscreen with a high SPF+passport holder for the girls.
FOR HIM: A breathe easy tee+short shorts+comfy shoes+sunscreen+passport holder for you guys.
EAT, PRAY, LOVE

Every once in a while a movie comes along that just connects with us almost instantly. So, as old as Eat, Pray, Love might be, we don’t know of anyone who didn’t connect with Julia RobertsElizabeth Gilbert and her trial and tribulations at some level. And, it’s pretty much gone down in history as one of the most beloved travel movies there ever were.
