5 times celebs brought their choker A-game

10 months ago | BY Kriti Asthana

Hey, in case you were living under a rock (Let’s face it, that’s just a place with no wi-fi) and missed all the memes – this year is looking a LOT like the 90s. Eerily so! We are keeping up with the Tanners’ household, everyone is busy playing Pokémon, Blink 182 has a new song out and a Clinton is running for President.

What’s more, we’ve seen resurgence of grunge, the sexy slip dress and the choker. We think that the massive onslaught of off-shoulder everything (another nod to the 90s) could have something to do with the choker rage, or maybe it’s the scores of celebrities that have been spotted wearing them. We can’t quite put a finger on who it was that brought the trend back  – was it the Kardashians or the Hadids? Here is how the A-listers are sporting this 90s trend circa 2016.

Kendall Jenner

Really want to give this choker thing a try but don’t have one on you right when you need it? Do like Kendall and fashion one out of a ribbon. Just match the texture to your top or dress and there you have it – a choker top – the biggest craze to hit fashionistas since Hervé Leger bodycon dresses.

Priyanka Chopra

First was Freida Pinto, and now it’s Priyanka Chopra. What’s with actors morphing into style mavens the second they step into Hollywood? Must be Rodeo Drive. The Quantico star paired a cold shoulder top with a thick black choker.

Lisa Haydon

lisaWe admit we aren’t super psyched about those Isabel Marant pants, but how gorgeous does that choker look! For those just venturing into neck candy territory – a white off-shoulder, black choker and a ponytail is the most foolproof way to do it.

Jacqueline Fernandez

Gigi Hadid
